OUR PAINT PROCESS

All our parts are professionally painted to meet, if not exceed that factory paint quality & finish. You can see our process from start to finish in the below videos.
We will be using a Subaru WRX front bumper as our example, but our process may vary depending on the part.

STEP 1: MASKING

We mask any areas on the bumper that are not meant to be painted just like from the factory. In this case, the WRX front bumper has a grille that is meant to be left unpainted.

STEP 3: CLEANING

Once in the booth, the part is properly cleaned to prevent any contamination and to ensure nothing is on the part.

STEP 5: SEALER

sealer or primer (depending on the material of part) is then applied.

STEP 7: CLEARCOAT

Finally, two (2) coats of clearcoat are applied to protect the paint from UV, road debris, and other damaging effects.

STEP 2: SCUFF / PREP

All parts are then scuffed and prepped to ensure proper adhesion. Depending on the part, this is done use a very fine sandpaper.

STEP 4: ADHESION PROMOTER

Many parts come as a reinforced raw plastic. We apply a product called Plastic Adhesive Promoter which allows the sealer to properly bond to the scuffed plastic.

STEP 6: BASECOAT

Three (3) coats of base paint are used and painted to coverage. We use the highest quality materials to ensure a long lasting, factory paint job for your new parts.

STEP 8: PACKAGING

Once painted, all parts are then polished, powdered (protects the paint in the bubble wrap), and carefully packaged to ensure your new part arrives safely!
